![]() Bosses had the chance to not drop anything, but 5 players in a game reduced that chance to 0. More drops (from bosses) worked at every other player added, so the best ways to get the benefit without the added monster health/damage was 3, 5, and 7 players. It gave the monsters more health, you gained more exp for killing higher health monsters, and more drops were seen because drop were shared amongst every player. "Players 8" allowed players in single player, non-ladder games to increase the difficulty of the monsters as if there were more players in the game (8 was the max). ![]() ![]() All you really need is the tid bits, as most of the article is the math behind it, and the new system will have its own numbers that will be released later.
